Prov. 25:2, "It is the Glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of Kings is to search things out."
From a leaf to a beetle, from the intricacies of the human body to the mysteries of God, His triuneness, his salvation, etc...It is a Glory of God, how He has depth to himself and his works, there is always more to uncover beneath the surface.
God is at His best...He is most glorious, when he is creating such beautifully mysterious realities and likewise, man, he is at his best when he is searching out these beauties, the wonderful mysteries, the glorious concealed realities of things that God has concealed or covered. (Glories like redemption, the trinity, a blade of grass, a rock, or a tree, etc...)
Imagine for a moment, a life where a leaf is simply a green leaf, nothing deeper...like a cartoon or a plastic look alike...or imagine there were no mysteries to God, or the human body...or all manner of other things in creation...what would that say to us about God?
But "Oh the depth of both the wisdom and knowledge of God, how unsearchable are his judgments and his ways PAST KNOWING!" (emphasis added)
The mysteries, the depth, and discovery of God's truth and creation tell us that God, too, is an endless discovery...HE has "uncharted waters"...and this is our Glory, our adventure, our "best", is to sail the unsailed sea's, climb the unclimbed mountains which God has concealed. He has concealed it that we may uncover it, find it, discover it. God...the Last and final frontier. We discover Him, reveal Him as we study a leaf or search out the deep doctrines revealed in God's word..."It is the Glory of Kings to search things out. " (Hope you packed your lunch! ; ) )
