Aletheia Church - 'The Mosby Boys'

I'm privileged to serve a group of guys who meet at my house every Tuesday for primarily two things: to cry out to God and to learn & obey His Word.
This semester there seems to be more of a seriousness...a focus about the men that meet in this old house surrounded by 'ghetto's' and the marginalized of Richmond. Our first week was spent mostly in prayer and envisioning what the next several months could hold. Desperate pleas spoken to God, for Him to do something supernatural among us, to use us...that we would not be a 'club' or another 'social group'...but a brotherhood of warriors and servants for the Kingdom. Serious...focused...realizing what is truly at stake; eternity & men's souls.

"The Gospel in Life" by Tim Keller is a tool, a means of Grace to accomplish just that. Its an 8 week study on the gospel & how it is to be lived out in all of life - First in our hearts, then in our communities, and then out into the World. I'm done with maintenance ministry, i'm so weary of trying to 'make things work'...of keeping the machine of 'ministry' going...what we need is God's Spirit to be poured out on us, what we need is men to cry out to God and to walk in obedience and integrity. 'Men are looking for better methods, God is looking for better men'. My prayer is that God would use this little book, and would grant an urgency amidst this group of men who meet on Tuesdays...for His Kingdom & Glory.
Grace and Peace.
