I was privileged to attend the 2011 Desiring God conference for Pastors in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My Dad, Brother and I attended this year, its kind of a family tradition...just the men, in prayer, under the Word, so refreshing, so sweet. The corporate worship of the 2,000 pastors singing ancient and modern hymns literally shakes the ground and their prayers and sweet spirits sharpen my countenance (As Proverbs says). I am a blessed man to have been here this year.
Also, i was able to meet a spiritual mentor of mine, Francis Chan. I thank God for the privilege to hear this man, meet with him and pray worship with him these past several days.
The snow in Minnesota is AMAZING! I love the cold, you literally breathe through your nose and your nose hairs freeze..pretty crazy huh??! Felt kinda cool. haha Also, check out this amaazing building! We see it every year we come, as a musician i love this...thinkin about painting my house like this one day. ; )
Eating the Word...such an enriching and edifying time! Thank you Lord.
Probably the most special part of this trip however, is its the one time of the year that all the Rose boys get together...just us. Its a time like no other, of sharing, laughing, (annoying the heck out of each other), its so great...i have been so blessed by a dad, brother and pawpaw Who are men of integrity, men who love Christ as their all consuming passion and men who strive to live out this passion in their marriages, ministries, every day life, etc... So the next few pics are just of us hangin out. Enjoy... ; )
