For those of you who have been to India or who have watched the famous movie, "Slum-dog Millionaire" this may be a somewhat familiar sight. These are some of the "slum kids" that we were privileged to spend time with. Our Lord Jesus knows each of these precious children by name, he knows the number of hairs on their head, he was tortured to death on a cross for their salvation and this week, he sent us...a humbling thought...to make SURE that they know what Jesus did for them and how much he loves them.
Another one of these precious young children, "Oh God, you have SO blessed us in the west; with peace, with money, with resources...may we be prepared to have a lower standard of living that more of these children might know you, and be cared for both physically and spiritually".
One amazing way to do this is through a ministry called "Children Hunger Fund", they deliver food packs through local ministries/churches/Christians to some of the most impoverished and hurting areas of the world. www.chfus.org
Teaching them a Christian song, in their language, about how much Jesus loves children. They sang SOOO loud. It was crazy.
This little guy was REEAALLYY Into it! I had to tell the little fella to calm down. ; ) Just kiddin, he loved it.
K, just one last picture (for this Post)! This is me teaching and acting out the story of David and Goliath for the kids. This was my interpreter Raul. haha He was interpreting while i buried him under "ARMOR" just like when Saul tried to put really heavy armor on david just before he fought Goliath. He did a GREAT job. ; )
K, once again, love you guys. MORE TO COME!!! Stay tuned...
